Today was an amazing last day. Climbing the Great wall of China is without a doubt one of the coolest things I have ever done in my entire life. This trip has exceeded all of my expectations in every single aspect. The food has been amazing, most of the people have been so nice and helpful, and I especially enjoyed the company of our Beijing tour guide, Jonathan. This trip has been an unforgettable experience for me and has truly changed my life. If at any time I were able to return to china I would jump at the chance. I never thought that our group would become so close and friendly but I am so thankful for it. I really want to thank everyone for making this trip such an incredible experience for me and I really hope to be able to see you all in the future.

Today we climbed the Great Wall of China!! I thought it would be a relatively easy climb…however this was not the case. We decided to run up the first half and ended up so exhausted that we ended up laying on the ground for a little while. We got to these stairs that were so inclined you couldn’t see the bottom. I ended up going down them by grabbing the railing and just sliding down one step at a time. A lot of people were giving me weird looks and laughing haha. We took a lot of photos, so we have a lot to post to the blog! I’m sad that we have to leave tomorrow, but I cant wait to hang out with everyone back in the U.S!

Today was probably my favorite day of the trip. The climb of the Great Wall was a perfect example of looks can be deceiving, it didn’t look that hard, but once you were actually going up, it was really hard. I think that that was the most exercise I’ve had in a while! It was funny when people were giving us weird looks when we just laid down on the path. This trip has definitely been a once in a lifetime experience. It was really fun because I knew nobody that was going on this trip and now I feel really close to everyone. I’m really sad that we have to leave tomorrow, but I hope I get to see everyone again.

Today was definitely my favorite day of the trip. We hiked the Great Wall, and I ended up meeting someone named Abraham, who is from Kuwait. He was such a cool guy. The views from the wall were spectacular, I could have walked forever, but they closed the wall off at a certain point. The Peking duck dinner was really good, whatever sauce they used was amazing. I’m going to miss China a lot, these have definitely been some of the most fun days I’ve had in a long time. I hope we can all hang out together when we’re back in Ann Arbor.

Today was terrific. The Great Wall was truly an amazing site to see. It was a rough climb, but together we made it to the top. China has been a life-changing trip. Experiencing the different culture and exploring the deep history has been an eye opening experience. I hope that I can visit here again soon because China is a never- ending adventure. The people I have met have created memories for me that I will cherish forever. I am truly blessed to have had this opportunity. So I just want to say thank you.

Having seen the Great Wall before, I had rather low expectations for the ancient battlements, but was pleasantly surprised to discover that scaling the rocks of yore varies in entertainment based not on the sights and sounds of the peak but the people with which one experiences the Wall. Our final day in China was concluded with a dinner of truly titanic proportions and a round of toasts for our lovely and incomparable leader Fan Wu. Experiencing China with my American compatriots has been, for sooth, a once in a lifetime occurrence. Blah blah blah, insert attention seeking jest. Thanks all J

Returning the Great Wall of China was just as breath taking as the previous visit. With this particular group in general--taking pictures, telling jokes, and being out of breath together—made the climb incredibly memorable. What a great was to wrap up an amazing trip, and all thanks to our wonderful teacher! I’m so thankful to have met all of these wonderful people, and hopefully these friendships will continue on after the trip too. (Megan)
Today was our last day of our amazing adventure that we created. Standing on the great wall of China we incredible. I have to admit that it was difficult walking along because of the steep inclines and very steep steps. But it was all part of the experience. ;) To have the privilege of seeing two of the seven wonders of the world on this trip is amazing. As well as the amazing sites, the people on this trip made it the complete package. Thank you to all the parents who helped and who gave up their children up for a week to go on this adventure. I will remember all of the wonderful memories forever.
